Online Gaming
This is the future of video games. The time when people can play other people on the internet with there video game systems. Here all you need to now about it.
The systems that can do it: XBOX, PS2, Gamecube
XBOX Online: To go play internet style w/ your XBOX you need the XBOX live
stater kit that cost $49.99 [come with headset/ demo disc]. But to play it you need broadband internet service. Here's some XBOX games that could go online: Ghost Recon: Island Thunder, Midnight Club 2, NBA 2K3
PS2 Online: To go play the internet way w/ your PS2 you need the network adapter which is $35.00 it includes a demo disc as well. If you have broadband, get a headset, to communicate w/ others players. If you just have dail-up, don't worry because you could still communicate w/ them, but by using the controller, or a keyboard for the PS2. To play you just need to have the internet [dial-up, or broadband], and a phone cord. There more games that can go on the internet on the PS2 than there is for the XBOX. Some of those games are NBA Live 2004, Tony Hawk's Underground, Madden 2004, Socom: U.S. Navy Seals 2, ATV Offroad Fury 2, Midnight Club 2, SSX 3 and more.
Gamecube Online: I don't really know that much about it because it stinks! There's only one game that can go online [phantasy star online], and the thing to make it go online is hard to find.
The best system for playing online: PS2. It has more of a variity of games, and you could just play online no matter what type of connection you have. Plus it easier to hook up then the XBOX. The only thing bad about it is that if you have AOL you have to pay $5.00 per month, and that still isnt to bad. So if you want real online gaming, get the PS2 [if you don't have one], and get a network adapter.Trust me, it's worth every dollar.
